Alternative eyepiece for K-50 viewfinder?

Is there an alternative 'rubber' eyepiece for the K-50?

Like, something that sticks out a bit and shrouds the eye from outside light.

I had something like this years ago on a film camera and it was great for blocking extraneous light.

If you search fro Pentax K-30 or K-50 eyecup on ebay you'll come up with a few aftermarket items.

Oricman, thanks. The website info includes the notation that the eyepiece will fit:
"All 22mm eyepiece
Pentax K20D K200D K10D K100D K110D *IST
SP, M, K, Z, P, MZ, *istd, *istds"
I assume this includes the K-50?

nnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

FWIW, I've owned a number of Pentax cameras. I haven't used my failing K-7 since I bought a K-50. Your post reminded me that I always kept the eyepiece blind from the K-7 in my camera bag. I just pulled it out and it seems to fit my K-50 just fine. Hopefully this means the eyepiece Oricman referred to should fit your K-50.

As far as I know all Pentax DSLRs use the same dimensions for the eyecup mount. That's why the magnifying eyepiece O-ME53 fits all DSLRs too.

The film bodies used a different sized mount and I have one of the shaped eyecups in a box of old film gear in the closet and it will not fit on a DSLR.

Thanks, guys. It's not a huge outlay - nothing like the original Vello product. Maybe I'll just risk the $6 outlay and give it a go! :-)
Cheers :-)
