Bad new year start for my K-30

The first pic of the year was black and the cap was off.

A quick burst fixed, but one hour later it did it again, after 16k clicks it's starting to die

How long can it last like this?

as a fully-manual camera, it can last quite a while...

Unfortunately you are one of many, IMO they should actually recall all K30's that are still on retailer shelves, as it seems as if there is a major problem, and by allowing so many customers have a negative experience with the brand, might not be a good idea....
