Problem with my K50 have no clue. please help shutter lagging

I am having problems with my k50! This has been going on for over 8 months. It will take pictures just fine once or twice and then when I push the shutter button the viewfinder goes dark(you can see a slight image thou). A few seconds goes by and then the shutter opens. This happens several times in a row then takes one or two just fine only to do it again. The pictures on the chip are just fine. I have used several different lenses and they all do the same thing. I have had the camera since 2014. I have already had the aperture base plate replaced which ended up not being the problem. I have had the camera at the repair shop twice now and no reason for this. I played with it when I got it back and it was set on single mode and it worked fine, then after I put it on continuous mode(which is what I always had it set at so this was nothing new) it started to do it again after a few shots. I switched back to single mode and it continues to do it. I hope someone can figure out what the problem is before I throw this in the river due to frustration. It is impossible to take pictures of flying eagles when you have to wait to take the next shot. Thank you for any and all help!

It sounds like the mirror mechanism is sticking slightly.

It might be a problem with the camera but it's could also be caused by dirty battery contacts or an aging battery that does not put out enough juice to rapidly move the mirror.

Use the AA adapter and stick a set of new lithium AA batteries in it.

Thank you for your responses. I put the AA adapter in and shot 47 pictures and it didn't do it, I switched back to the other battery and it didn't do it with it either this time. I left it on continuous mode. I will continue to work with it. I have 2 of the 7.4v batteries that I switch out, I bought them with the camera in Sept of 2014. I hope this fixes the problem. How would you clean the contacts or is that possible? I just did 34 more shots with one of the 7.4v batteries and it didn't do it. If it starts to do it again what would be my next step? If it is the mirror mechanism would it be an easy fix or a costly one. Since I already had to have the aperture base plate replaced I really don't want to keep fixing the camera.

The camera is in the shop again, he still thinks it is has to do with the aperture so he is replacing the whole aperture mechanism. We will see what happens when I get it back.
