Thanks "Philber" for clarifying this and welcome to the forum.
Great entry!

Indeed it is the Seiko MS621-FE FL11E
(MS621 has different versions, we need those ones with the solder tags)

The MS518SE FL35E should work as well.

On Amazon I found only equivalents from Chinese sellers. I prefer "made in Japan" for the know reasons.
Farnell Germany/Europe sells the original Seiko 621 for a very reasonable price.

I already started a tutorial for this because I think it needs its own thread and put it online just now
and it is thanks to your input!

Well done for mentioning insulating the metall-plate backpart!

Very important because the top is PLUS (+)

Hello "Photogem", very kind of you, thank you so much !

For what is worth, my 621s from Amazon (two ones for about 3 euros if I recall) came in the greatly appreciated made in Japan guise, but I can't confirm the same seller would now send them from other batches around the world, probably Chinese as you mentioned. I'm looking for the link anyways, in case someone would try that.

Looking forward to your tutorial then! I appreciate them very much.

I.e., this white K30 comes very cheap (maybe 40euros) from this forum: the seller, a very kind person, tried to repair it for the known solenoid issue, but did not succeed (he put in a white one, but it was just in worse conditions, very "loose" mechanically, than the old green one).
I just followed your very detailed indications on the subject(s) and succeeded.
There were other problems anyway, the said backup cell completely dried and the loss of every one of the original screws (unfortunately they got missed in action because of some not better specified female house-cleaning event during the seller's first attempt, what a.. misfortune!). I managed to find them, but it has been a long trick ..good to see you just shared an useful photo-link on the argument 👌

Only to mention, I was looking for a broken K30 because of the damned battery hook problem, that fell apart probably because of my intensive use of those AA high-mA (and more heavyweight) rechargeable cells.
Ended up repairing this white one body (I just couldn't resist, it seemed such a pity..) and managed to "create" a "new" hook from some old plastic part debris and molding it in some way. Awful result but fully functional 😄.
The real pity is Pentax doesn't provide any spare parts for free sale anymore, only through official repair assistance. So you have to look for dead items, but often at higher than acceptable pricing.

Greetings to the forumers
