K50 Sensor Stuck in 16 to the left. Sensor shakes when attempting to correct

The title spells it our for the most part. My sensor is stuck as though the composition adjustment is at 16 (or furthest) to the left. It shakes when in live view and when taking photos, so much so that it blurs photos well into the "safe ratio" of length and exposure time, not to mention I can't actually compose my shots through the VF, and Live view is useless.

On the bright side, I'm glad to know it was the camera causing the shaking and not that I'm getting tremors. That would've suuuuucked

That doens't look nice... you've of course tried moving it in composition adjustment mode, I gather..?

I have. I even tried the somewhat risky strategy of vigorously rubbing the sensor with a cleaning cloth with the hopes of dislodging the thing. Didn't help.

I've seen this before and it is a failure that would require repair I'm afraid.

You can always try a factory restore, but more than likely, the camera is toast.

From previous threads on similar problems the only solution seems to be to have the camera serviced.

Not TOO vigorously, just kind of.... slightly harder than would seem appropriate.
