I will buy the AF-360GZ when I can get the money for it !
By the way , there are so many !... how can i know which one does and does Not work on the K-50 , or any other Pentax for the matter !?
I don't mind using it manually , but i am afraid to damage the cam using an incorrect one !...
Thank you once again !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both of these will only work in manual mode on a Pentax K-mount DSLR. They are the old TTL, not the current P-TTL.

There are some third party P-TTL flashes around that may suit your budget. For example

Yongnuo YN585EX

I have the Pentax AF201FG that is P-TTL and like the AF360FGZ doesn't swivel, but does tilt almost backwards and forwards. Used I got mine for $99 at B&H, Though not as powerful as the Yongnuo or the AF360. it works for me. I do mostly macro and flower shots, not so much people.

I use several old 1970's and 80's flash units on my K30, they have an auto circuit that determines exposure when you set your camera on a pre determined aperture and ISO setting. They worked well then and still do. Here is a chart of flash trigger voltage, the ones I use have a voltage below 12V

Voltages | DPanswers

I have a Pentax HF200T, Sunpak Auto 30XD and a Vivitar Series 1 600 c/r all available for around $20 used on Ebay

If your plan is on camera flash there are lots that can work. This site is out dated but gives good info as a starting place: The Definitive Guide - Pentax P-TTL Flash Comparison

The 240t appears to have 1 auto mode and two manual modes. High and low only in manual mode won't give much control and the auto mode appears to be the old ttl protocol with isn't compatible with your camera.

If you're looking for using the flash on camera with full capabilities, or off camera with a trigger system, best bang for your buck is either the new Godox X-Pro P series, or the Shanny SN600FGZ flash. The Pentax 360 FGZ flash doesn't have a rotating head, for much more money the Pentax 540 FGZ does. So do the Godox X-Pro P series of flashes and the Shanny SN600FGZ for much less money than the Pentax. And both Godox and Shanny are P-TTL and HSS compatible.
