Not in this case but anyway, the lose wires of the solenoids can still fire 7.3 Volts to any part they touch so you better

make sure this doesn't happen. Otherwise you might fry more including your SD-card.

I was thinking of putting the faulty solenoid on the ist DS so nothing should be loose and it will exhibit only the same problem as the K50 initially. However I am only inferring this and have no experience whatsoever on opening any digital camera.
