The battery-hook of the K-30 and all other Pentax bodies using the same hook seems to break sometimes.
Never happened to me but I had to repair it several times.
If the broken part is still there, you can try to find the correct super-glue, I have seen it once done and it held.
But remember, wrong glue and it won't work.
The part is available here:
Pentax 77420-A0017 Battery Hook | K30 K-50 K-r Digital | USCamera PartsUSCamera
but also from Hungaria 3D-printed:

Just take the bottom cover of.
If uneasy, follow steps as shown in my tutorial:

You have enough access if you understand how the hook is installed:
You can see, there is a small JIS-screw (JIS-00 or 000 Screwdrivers! Both are the best, PH000 will work as well) which holds the hook on this golden colored metall spring. Underneath this screw is this round nose which fits into the round hole of this spring.
So you carefully unscrew this JIS-screw (best magnetise the tip of your screwdriver so it won't fall down):
Then you bend the metal spring backwards and thus you can take the (broken) hook out.
Here an old photo showing the new and the damaged hook:
It was from the Pentax K-r which is the same hook.
Partnumber is
R77420A17 or
R77420 A0017 (depending where you order it)
Install the replacement hook, tighten the screw, bottom-cover back on, that was it!
