For the French pentaxians, if you are looking for a chance to hold and try the 645D. It will be presented on the 7th and 8th of June at the "Forum de la HD" (previously "Forum du Moyen-Format") at :

On a more generic note, I guess this shows Pentax committment to bring the camera quickly out of Japan.

If they release it anywhere outside of Japan, they should definitely do so in Europe, especially in a place like Paris.

It's interesting that I haven't seen any showings of the 645D scheduled in the United States so far. Maybe there hasn't been a show for it yet, or maybe they just don't think the demand is there in the U.S.

Yep, and I think I saw that it was going to be shown in Australia as well, or perhaps already has been.

PMA Australia, in Melbourne, from tomorrow although the general public are only admitted on the weekend. If you pre-register you get free tickets.
