SimonSmyth, I don't know from where you got those information but they really sound very unrealistic "Pro model will be much more expensive than 7D."

Sure. Canon 7D is $1700. The pro model from Pentax is around $10,000, although not yet available in the US.

The K-7 replacement will have the same MSRP of the original K-7 when it was released so expect $1,499.00....... If it is announced in Sept, then I would expect you could get one in December before Christmas.
Cool cool I'd just take the crazy deal I got on the K7 and use the money saved over the K7 super to buy a dedicated HD camcorder

I dunno, I was stupid enough to click on it and was taken to a site where I could download "male member".jpg - he did edit the post later. Who knows what that file is, the mods should delete that post.

I braved the downloading of it. It wasn't as the file name threatened. It was, instead, another forum member's architectural photo altered so the EXIF claimed it was taken with a "Pro*" camera. (But it was really taken with a K-7.)

It was removed by the forum moderators because it was neither news nor rumor.

He was proved to be a fraud, and all his postings have been deleted.

I was glad that he made a major blunder (stealing a photo and altering the EXIF to pretend that it was taken by the "prototype") and his true colors were shown. For a while, he even have supporters defending his wild claims. If not for his blunder, we would still be debating his phantom prototype for the next two months! Whew!
