incidentally the TRi elmar is only f/4 and it has some pretty nasty distortion at the wider focal lengths. As far as leica lenses go it is good enough for daylight street photography. It gets its arse handed to it when it is compared to any of the Leica primes in it's focal length range

Hey Digitalis,

I recall seeing somewhere that you were trying to mount Pentax lenses on an M9? Is/was that correct? Where did you find the adaptor? I'd be interested in going down that path myself...

Not a lot of information about new lenses to be introduced. Pentax has some obvious needs and I hope the new 35mm is not all they have planned for the show.

If the new Schneider Kreuznach tilt/shift lens is the most interesting new lens introduced for the K-mount I will be disappointed.....

You got me all excited and then I had to go look it up. €2,800 for only 50mm? That's a disappointment.

Didn't you say you have a L 43/10 Special?

I have a 43mm f/1.9 Limited in M Leica mount. the lens's design is identical to the SLR design but The mount appears to be made by by someone else, my bet is that Cosina made it.

Optically a phenomenal lens. I typically use it on my hexar RF as a sort of anti-Leica statement. However I do own several Leica bodies.

You'll get ill-tempered sea bass and like them.

Re: AF points - 11 is OK with me as long as they're EVIL (sorry, "evil") AF points.
