Originally posted by sunny16 I know that the Sony Nex is supposed to have good IQ when compared with other mirrorless cameras... but I just think it is by far the least attractive camera of them all. I am curious to see the Pentax approach to mirrorless. Don't know that I would ever purchase it... but I guess we'll see what they come up with.
Agreed on the aesthetics. I don't really see the point of these giant lenses on a a camera like the NEX or the E-P2. I have an E-P2 and I suppose you could use them on it. As a DSLR user also it just seems like the combination would not be very ergonomic, but then again I haven't tried it out. To be honest, I don't really use big zooms on a DSLR either so I'm probably a bit prejudiced.
Olympus makes some zoom that goes from 14-300mm. Panasonic is releasing a 100-300mm zoom I think early next year. They are much smaller than than those pictured above. I'm not sure that's what these cameras do best, but I've never used one of them.
I have been very pleased with the Panasonic 20mm, 45mm, and their 7-14mm. They seem like a the right size more or less when mounted on the E-P2. In all likelihood I'll get the 14mm or the Voigtlander 25mm when they released next year.
