New Pentax: K-5, K-r and Mirrorless models coming

Well it's official, Pentax has begun informing sales outlets of their new model announcements due in Sept. The entire affair consisting of:

Pentax K-5: K-7 replacement camera w/16MP CMOS sensor.
K-r: Kx replacement camera w/dual battery capabilities.
Mirroless: ??

While there seems to be no information whatsoever on the details of each model, I can testify that I was told(several months ago) that the new flagship camera will compete with the Nikon D700 FF with regards to low light capabilities.
Now I don't know about you guys, but the entire idea of keeping my glass on a camera that would compete with a leading FF professional camera has really got my juices flowing!

If you look closely you may notice that the forum is both vast and highly active.
Which is most likely contributes to many of the double posts with regards to exciting newsbits such as these.

Having said that, the new models really are a huge deal for many Pentax owners(myself included). That being said, it's going to be a highly charged next few weeks as we anticipate what may be one of the most exciting moments in Pentax history!

Technically, seamuis, Pentax still exists - as a brand name rather than a corporation.

Brand names can have proud histories and Pentax is certainly one of them.

Just to be certain, last night I dragged out all my Pentax gear back to 1969. None of it says "Hoya" on it. "Asahi" yes, but not Hoya. It was good to see that nothing has changed.
