Cathedral in Koln, right? It probably has more chapels than I have rooms in my house.

And also probably has no Elvis impersonators available for weddings in those chapels. A very good thing, too.

Yes, you can click the image for some extra info. What strikes me most is that people worked from 1248 to 1880 to build it 157m height seems to have been rather ambitious for a project started in 1248

Back in the 13th century the arguments were about the re-soul-ving power of churches and obviously the people of Koln thought that a Full-frame cathedral was better than an APS church. Meanwhile, in Rome, the Pope was quite happy with St Peter's, his MF Basilica.

Sounds like a good place for Pentax to release a tilt-lens...

Yes, St.Peter is larger. But not higher and project was started later.

Actually, at it's time, only Lincoln Cathedral was a higher building but it's central spine collapsed 1549. Now highest is the Ulm Minster. It wasn't planned this high. But when Ulm converted Protestant, they decided that their Minster must outdo Catholic Cologne (4m higher)

Go see this cathedral next thursday, that's when I drop my two youngest sons there for the games convention, same place where photokina will be held. Hope I'll have time to go again the 21th of sept. Meanwhile, one of them will carry a k20d (ex-mine), it's his now as he kept borrowing it since he was fed up with his cellphone pics. He hardly knows it's pentax and he isn't aware of canikon. He just takes pics. I hope a miracle will happen and vastly expanded dynamic range with softly rounded outer curve edges will be bestowed upon us, that would be a miracle and I can pray for it to happen in Cologne's cathedral.

When will rumored new models be actually hitting the streets?

I recently bought a K7 but might return it and sit on my hands if they will be releasing an update in a few weeks.
