New K-X colors available in the U.S.

Here's the link:

Digital SLR Cameras - Official PENTAX Imaging Web Site

I saw it on facebook and noticed that it wasn't posted here yet...

The colors are:

beige, olive green, pink, and chocolate

I personally like the olive green.

I like beige, green and orange. I would get any of those if I didn't already the my white stormtrooper.

A picture is worth a thousand words...:

Someone should pitch the Olive Green and the Beige to the Pentagon.
The beige model in particular matches the colours of the desert combat uniform very well.

I'd trade my White for an Olive... maybe. It's what I originally wanted.

Although I definitely appreciate my camera being a lower temperature out in the sun.

I still like the green and purple more, but that hot pink is pretty. I'd never buy it I don't think. I'd be joked out of my house if I did, but I actually like hot pink a lot. My little mp3 player is hot pink and black actually and it looks rather nice. Probably when the time comes I'll still go basic black, but the colors are tempting. They're too flashy though to be practical. They'd just attract too much attention, of the kind I don't want, most likely. I don't want to spend $500 on a camera only to lose it because someone else thinks it's pretty. Basic black may be boring, but it also tends to attract less attention. Plus paying up to $150 more because it's colorful just doesn't suit my wallet.

Pentax has posted a firmware update for its K-7 mid-level DSLR. Version 1.10 adds in-camera movie editing options via its playback mode, an electronic level and a Reversal Film mode to the K-7. Additionally, autofocusing in live view can now be activated by half pressing the shutter. The latest firmware is available for immediate download from Pentax's website
Thanks for the wonderful post, abbi.

What I find funny is that the K-7 is at the very end of the list. It's almost like Pentax doesn't want their products to be seen...

The k-x is more fashionable...

Plus it appeals to women in pink...

Plus some men like pink....

Plus the k-5 is coming soon...

Plus Serbian women are gorgeous...

Plus I met an American tourist in Serbia with a K-x...

And finally the k-x puts the X in PentaX

I also thought that was rather strange... because the K-7 seems rather neglected and from the site design, makes the K-7 appear to be the lesser model, but in actuality, it's the semi pro one. Oh well. I cant wait to see the new models :-)

Indian SEO spammer. What's funny is there actually is an Abbi Thomas photographer in SC. The colors of the pictures on her website look like she shoots Nikon though.

Also, that pink doesn't look "hot" to me. If you're not either very female or very flamboyant, I don't think you'd get away with it.
