This said, I wouldn't mind a FF converted Pentax MX, even if they did have to sacrifice autofocus

I don't know why you quoted me, I was just responding to someone else. I'm excited about the K-5 and will likely buy it right when it comes out.

Well I'm guessing since you're dropping hints you don't want to come out and discuss this feature in depth. If included, do you think it will be a useful feature or more on the gimmick side?

Leica M's have a flange distance of only 27.80mm, Pentax has 45.46, one of the longest... so Pentax has it more difficult to build thin camera.

i cant get drawn back into this all over again, just insures disappointment.

besides, the thing i would care about most in a hybrid viewfinder, a real-time histogram, is impossible with a mirror blocking the sensor. none of this translucent nonsense please.
