TBH. I have 3 x K20's to replace.
Well... realistically I would only replace two and keep the other K20D for quick change.
Though I'd be more than happy to upgrade my K20's at 1500 per unit, if the K-5 lives-up to its potential.
For what it's worth, I think the specs are justifiable. Though the real deal maker is whether or not the camera can live-up to the expectations. So in that sense, I think the K-5 has a really good chance at becoming the first Pentax body that will give the upper-end lineup a run for it's money(including... the D700).

I agree, just look at the Canon 7D!
In Canada, it has settled between 1500 and 1800 dollars, and that's an established market value!
Considering the K-5 is poised to come-in with higher specs at a lower price, I think Pentax is set to do a wonderful thing.
Besides... for anyone finding the prosumer price to steep, there is plenty of selection bellow that as well.
