Sounds like from what most of you want out of a camera....you should be owning a K-7 already!

Jason
If it had the K-x's DR at low ISO and equal high ISO performance, I probably would.

get rid of AAA batteries, I didn't get K-x because of that.
Sounds really silly these days...
Yeah totally silly of you not to pick up an awesome camera for such a non issue as the batteries... 1/3rd the price and 1/2 as long lasting as a k20d's, But does it really matter?

Certainly they last long enough for an entire day and a half of shooting non stop. They will also recharge over night.

What's the fun of being under "NDA". I have had my share of secrets and a secret is no fun if you can't spill the beans.

It certainly isn't as mysterious as you are, Ogl. I can hear you chuckling as you type in Siberia or Zambia or Cleveland or wherever your home really is.

I did like the photo of the JSU/ISU-152 by the way. It conveyed really well the concept of cold iron and the general massiveness of the Soviet approach to artillery.

I doubt Ogl knows anything more than what was spilled already. Of course, assuming that what was spilled is correct

Ogl shapes and weaves rumours with great skill, near artistry. If I weren't busy grinding my teeth about some of these posts, I'd certainly admire his work.

That ability, however refined, appears to have done little to raise his credibility to the same level.

But we have fun here and that's a good thing on a tough day.

I know the man (meet him today at the cup of coffee) that knows something about K-r, but he didn't tell me anything except AF-points illumination and AF-assist beam.

PS: I actually didn't ask him anything. Let it (specs) be a surprise or web leaks, than dangering his employment and so on.

We need every good Pentax person we can get. Let's keep him employed!

OTOH, if we add middling-good AF tracking to follow the kids around the viewfinder, there is a K-R sale right here. A great indoor camera. I'll dream of more and settle for that, if necessary.
