New Tamron lenses in Pentax mount?

I think I read a rumor a while ago that Tamron has quit making Pentax versions of their new lenses.

Anyone know if there is any truth in that rumor, considering neither the new 60mm f2 macro or 18-270 superzoom is available in K-mount?

Tamron did not announce a K-mount for the new 70-300 and the usual internet panic occurred. Tamron will release K-mount lenses if there is demand and money to be made. The 28-75 and 70-200 have both sold very well in K-mount.

I missed the panic, alas. Was that the point at which I should have sold my DA 55-300? No? Good.

Back to the topic: Can anyone tell us if there is a pattern of Tamron following Sigma in supporting the K mount or do they take turns being the first to appeal to Pentax users (after the other mounts)?

Tamron information is that they would not bring any new lenses for Pentax, because they will have VC and for the macro 2,0 60 is the market to small.
in future all important lenses will have VC and some will have new motor drive.
so it looks,no more lenses for pentax in near future made by tamron.

Kick me in the shin if I'm wrong... VC = vibration compensation.

As long as they carry the 90mm 2.8 macro in K mount long enough for me to save for it, I'll be happy.

Sony has SR just like Pentax, but Tamron is still making Lenses for Sony. Sigma makes OS lenses in the K-mount.

If Tamron has decided to discontinue the K-mount it is not because of the OS. The OS can be turned off.

Sony holds 11.08% of Tamron Co. shares and the two companies have worked together on several Sony-brand lenses.

That means Tamron will not make Sony/Minolta AF mount, and 4/3 mount as well, just because we have sensor SR??

Sounds like Sony is using its share in Tamron to fight Pentax and trying to push pentax users away by eliminating their lens choices?

I really think some Tamron lenses are really good and cost effective alternatives to pentax lenses.

I think many people would rather enjoy this lens. Considering ti gives FOV of 90/2.8 lens on FF it would be sweet and it would give DA70 good run for the money IMO...
