How could it not be a prototype?
He said "MZ-S" and that was Pentax' last semi-pro film camera. Yes, it already had the green button and other Pentax assets like Hyper Program.

That is STILL such a beautiful camera...

they should spruce it up a little and do it! With weathwer-proofing, of course. Gorgeous thing.

Cheers,
Cameron

Actually, the Z1 from 1992 already had hyper-P/M and a "green" button (it was labeled IF and wasn't green if I remember well... I am too lazy to dig out my Z1-P and check... )

This is what got me into Pentax at the time (this and the wealth of reasonably priced excellent primes).

That said, I'm skipping the next Pentax body to buy the new Cosina Voigtlander 50mm F0.95 M 4/3 lens.
Do you mean 25mm f/0.95? Should be nice on a micro-4/3 body, providing a 35mm-equivalent 50mm f/2 lens.

Why would it change to f2 rather than just the FOV?

I think he's referring to the DOF equivalent. I could be wrong though. I don't believe the light gathering ability of the lens changes.

I don't want to get into an argument about equivalence here The aperture on the lens does not change, but when you take into account the light-gathering surface of the sensor and factor that into the ISO you need to achieve equivalent IQ in both systems, then a 4/3 lens such as the above is the equivalent in FF to a 50mm f/2 (maybe f/1.9). And the DoF is also taken into account, of course.

None of the above makes much (if any) difference at low ISO, but is important at higher values.
