Sometimes I want FF. E.g. when I look at the shots I took at f/2 with my Topcon and a Topcor 50mm as a 15 year old boy. To get that shallow DOF with a normal FOV lens, I would need a 30-35mm f/1.4. I also long for FF when I think of how easy it is to focus manually with my LX compared to the "tunnel vision" of the (even quite decent) VF of the K10D.
But then I remember that the next lens on my wish list is the DA 55-300 (in WR version, please Pentax
) and I think of what a great compact system the APS-C Pentax cameras and the DA lenses is, and any wish for FF is gone.
Now, if the K-5 gets the good high ISO we're hoping for, I just need a little better VF magnification and then I don't think I really want FF at all. DFA 85-450mm? Not in my camera bag !
