I don't doubt that these are nice lenses, but the "world's smallest" 75-300 lens is less impressive if you compare it to the DA 55-300, which is only 1 mm wider and actually 5 mm shorter and weighs only 10 grams more - and is f/4-f/5.8 compared to the Olympus' rather slow f/4.8-f/6.7. Yes, I know the point is that it's the world's smallest 600mm-equivalent (because of the 2x crop), but the range is also less useful at the short end (150mm equivalent vs. 85mm equivalent). Besides, in this category your comment about "so-so" Pentax zooms is not quite well placed when commenting on a lens of this category - the 55-300 is a very decent lens for its price.
