Not really. The GH1 comes with a 14-140 which comes out be around 18-200, the Nikon comes with an 18-105. Both lenses offer stabilization. Pentax is dropping the ball with lenses.

The GH1 has a sensor diagonal of 21.6mm compared to 28.4 on the Pentax aps-c sensor so it does make it a bit odd. Pentax has in body SR so they aren't dropping the ball. What we meant by "odd" is that it seems like a random number to come up with and make a statement like "if they don't make this I leaving." That is regardless of the camera maker.

Yes, my point exactly, I want lenses, and PENTAX lenses!!! I don't want to have to buy a Sigma lens to get an all in one 18-250mm!!! And Sigma is the only company making Pentax mount lenses, Tamron has dumped the Pentax mount. I came back to Pentax from Canon, now I don't know why I thought with the K7 Pentax would bring out new glass, but the future doesn't look bright for me.

If you want nice Pentax glass, why do you only own the kit lens?

Just sayin.

I don't want to carry 500 lenses with me. One that covers 18-200mm is perfect. I'm not a pixel peeper. Plus I use Dxo 6 and shoot raw. Oh well, I guess I'll just sell the K7.

No one said anything about 500 lenses. However, 500 pounds of lenses isn't a lot of fun to carry around for extended periods either.

Where did you get that? The Tamron site still contains the 28-75 f/2.8 in Pentax mount.
