Anyone else here hoping the extra 120g weight is from an oversized AF motor, a la the Nikon F90?

How is 80 weird? It's perhaps as far they could go. It's 1/2EV under ISO100 - so a round number.
Not sure why they would go with only a half stop lower than 100...
But hey, of course, anything's possible - and if it's true, I'm not complaining.

I guess there are certain limitation that go along with going to far below base ISO.

But yes, whatever is fine with me This is shaping up to a camera I will not be able to resist buying. I have a K10D now, but its high ISO is really starting to frustrate me. A K-7 body with high ISO alike the K-x, high FPS, AF micro-adjust, etc. should last me years and years and years.

ISO80 as options - I doubt.

Base ISO of 16.2 MP sensor from Sony - ISO 100 - 12800. I think it could be extended ISO 50-25600 in K-5

No surprises here.

The focus points of the K-5 no doubt bear some relationship to the focus points of the 645D, K-7 and the new K-r. It seems to be the Pentax standard for the time being.
this thing already shown its age.. my old Pentax *ist have em too..

K-r has a bit wider AF points placement in VF.

Anyway, I'm sure there will be the same features improvement on the K-5 as they are on the K-r compared to their respective forerunners.
FPS speed and AF are improved on the K-r, as the ISO range. I'm sure these points will be improved on the K-5 as well.
For some dubtious reasons, I'm pretty sure the improvement points on the K-r were developped into two steps : the "base" features being for the entry-level K-r, and the same features developped one class above being fit to the K-5...

As far as focus points go I use center most of the time also, but on my wifes k-x I use the center 5 as opposed to all. I really like that option and wish it were on the K7. I also wish they were clustered a little closer together.

... but it is coming

A user from a German Forum shot a banner on a cab in Cologne (where the Photokina is taking place):
DSLR-Forum - Einzelnen Beitrag anzeigen - Neue Gerüchte über die K-5

Even if you may not be able to open it (unregistered). It shows the K-5 as it leaked from lens-tip

Actually, my type of photography supports my career and not just my hobbies.

How many AF points did this take?
