And if you read the post, you know that it was seen here on PF posted by our own Blende8, who had found it on a German forum. LOL.

Hmmm; I'm not sure I am! I expect some improvements here and there, as well as some shortcomings. I bet it will be a pretty nice camera, but not a game changer. Anyway, my main interest is Sigma tbh. I am badly waiting to see if they offer a few lenses I want...

It's from Wieland (blende8) but it may be from somebody else in Cologne originally. Wieland is from [Werder] Bremen

I know some taxi drivers here too. Maybe, I'll buy my own taxi ad space for Photokina 2012 (one taxi should do ) and announce the Uber-Canon 3Ds then

I guess I should of phrased that as "many of us..."
Of course this camera will not appeal to everyone(how could it), but it certainly comes as a welcomed upgrade for a significant portion who have been looking to upgrade their kits. In my case, the K-5 not only becomes a viable upgrade path for my working K20's but the FPS and AF changes will open new doors as well. Which is pretty cool from my perspective of things.

So, after the fake K-5 image, we have a fake taxi image? Is Pentax going to sell neat boxes with the picture of a camera, and 1kg of salt or a brick inside?

Atleat one thing is good, that I can use the batteries and vertical grip on K-5. Also lets hope the K-5 performs better in low light compared to K-7.

Well, "Pix your life" is the idiotic German Pentax slogan:
Kameras - PENTAX Europe Imaging Systems

Same with the Kr:
"Different is beautiful"
Pentax K-r - Digitale Spiegelreflexkameras - PENTAX Europe Imaging Systems

So that ad pretty much gives it all away, doesn't it?

Also confirms (for the third time) the story that the k-5's body is the same as the k-7's.
