Unfortunately more megapixels have been crammed into the sensor. If there were fewer it would have put me in a more optimistic mood. But before I see images I will reserve judgement on such things. Until then I am neither optimistic nor pessimistic.

We have seen some totally arbitrary and unnecessary changes between K20D, K-x, K-7 etc. I am glad the K-5 is sticking with a good thing (maybe not the
best, but good enough). Innovation in ergonomics can continue without moving buttons around.

Your logic is specious. Not everybody was asking for a K-7 with a K-x sensor. If you wish to address your comments to
specific people who did want that and are now disappointed, please do.
