I doubt Pentax making you that happy. My guess is U$1350 for start. My suggestion is US1150 though!

There is somehting about AF Prediction 'mode'

Burst shooting is with 7FPS(as known right now), 40 shots in buffer in JPEG(Hi) and 8 in RAW(DNG), don't know for PEF
And a interval shooting till 99 shots (per day?)

damn... not sure if I should pick up a k-5 or k-r as a second body. have the k-7 already.

May as well go for the 5...

Hell.. not sure why I am even feeling a bit let down... it's an improved k-7, what else do I need.

I heard something about SAFOX IX+ for greatly improved AF performance...so it's interesting to see that this source is claiming the same as system as in the K-r.

The source is unclear

In the tekst above the 'specsheet' it states SAFOX IX+, but in the specsheet it states SAFOX VIII+, I think the specsheet is mistaken
