Oh, that's starting to sound a LOT better! (and, might I add, only €80 more than what they charge for a D7000).

From your Digit Photo Spec sheet:

"Plage de sensibilités:
Sensibilité auto, man. (100 à 12800) possibilité ext. 80 à 25600 ISO
"

Concordant with the infos I get 2 days ago. Who do we must believe?

I have seen it stated that the 25,600 is "normal" and the 51,200 is "extended" ISO. But, you know, they are all just numbers. They simply don't matter until we can see what an actual image looks like. After all, we can gain an extra 5 stops over how the manufacturer rates sensitivity, simply by pushing the sensor using EV adjustment.

German article: Pentax-Flaggschiff K-5 | photoscala

The above article states that they done away with the A/D converter, resulting in extremely low noise levels???

So no manual video mode? Just AV mode at least according to the press release. Hmmm

Still some good improvements. Just not what I was expecting

first time i've seen a pentax dslr brochure describe fast moving subjects explicitly.

"allowing the photographer to preserve sharp, crisp images of active, fast-moving subjects — such as sports players, stage performers and wildlife — with great ease."

AF must be really good!
i just hope it tracks better

now, where's that credit card

Crazy to me that people are complaining about auto focus in a camera they haven't used yet. So what if it is named SAFOX IX? If Pentax had decided to rename it, would it really change anything? The real issue is the DA * lenses, particularly the DA * 50-135 and whether they will be able to lock focus on moving targets.
