Ok, so who called the K-5?

Who made the right predictions? Who fumbled? Come on, fess up!

Here's one that I found on K-rumors:

"According to the very reliable pentaxforums user “OGL” Pentax will release the Pentax K-5 this year. The camera should be positioned lower than the Pentax K-7..."

I don't mean to single you out, Ogl, but it was the first one I found
I'm sure that there's plenty more out there...

I was informed that it would have something special in the viewfinder.
I believed that it would have the rugged reinforced glass rear and top.
I also believed that the 2 SD card slots would be a given!

I don't have many details about any of them, but the source (my boss) is reliable. I'm working for Pentax Spain at the moment as a sales promoter.

What he told me:

-K-5 will be above K-7.

-K-r will use BOTH a lithium battery and standard AAs (brilliant!), and will cost 699€.
-EVIL will likely be APSC.

I hope it hasn't been posted yet.
Which would indicate that an EVIL is in the works!

To me, the biggest discrepancy was the fact so many sites listed it as coming in below the K-7. Has to be the biggest error since the news of the camera.

Same

I was told

Dual Card
Special Viewfinder (but there is something newer and better with this new VF)

As for reinforced glass top, well its quite possible its there just not on the specs list.

I predicted that no matter what the specs were, people would find something to be upset about

And by offering two choices, you had a one in three chance that if Pentax went with a lower number than for the K-7, you'd guess it correctly. Well done. ;-)

5 and 7 are prime numbers too. Prime sounds better than odd

Not three, two, K-1 is reserved for top of the line FF camera, if it happens an FF camera could be K-3 or even K-5 too, but K-1 is reserved for an expensive FF pro-line camera for sure.

Thats what the todays trends, are, no need to be an oracle. I am guessing why Nik-in is holding D1 name too but that would be too much speculation, like lot more than a traditional FF camera.
