Popco.net K-5 Hands-on confirms best AF to date...

??? | PENTAX K-5 preview - ??? | ??? ???

Korean Popco.net reports with a video highlighting the LV CDAF video demo showing how fast the CDAF of the K-5 truly is!
He goes on to say that it is even faster than the EOS 550D , which was viewed as the fastest for DSLR to date and that users will be pleasantly surprised.

The video/demo, also demonstrates the Optional / Customisable CDAF Auto Zoom-in during the CDAF operation.
PS. The site is very slow loading, especially the swf/flash video clips.

Due to the enormously slow page loading, I gathered the three video's on the page on Youtube and have posted them here as an alternate viewing option:

I hear dSLR penetration is very high in South Korea, so I'll believe them.

I've updated the post with YT video's.
The original site ones were just to slow to use.

These guys have real talent for camera porn... Anyone else think their K-5 + DA40 picture at the top of the review should be used by Pentax instead of those with the DA18-55 or DA18-135 ?

Is that with the new 18-135 DC? If so, it sounds like their new SDM(DC) is quite fast.

Not possible, the aperture is shown as f/2.8 in the live view display. And I don't think it's an SDM lens either because of the noise during AF.

So why don't they enable this during video? Oh yeah, they don't really care about video, but it could've been a great selling point with the free steadycam feature.

It's probably the 40 ltd that they have used in the photos.
