Wow thanks a bunch for these!

As suspected, the 51200 ISO won't be taken very seriously at this point, but I'd still love to see some RAW samples at that sensitivity out of sheer curiosity. Would be interesting to see what can be done with it with both sleeves rolled-up

BTW. were there ISO6400 and 25600 sample as well, or did you skip those?

Again... thanks alot for posting these!
I really hope you can get some RAW samples up too!

you know the noise might be rather obvious at 51200 but considering its not bad for retension of detail - some serious noise reduction with some of the advanced routines and might clen up enough for some uses

specially for news type stuff when any image is better than none - also this is still very early firmware so who knows what end result might be

51200 will definitely be usable for black and white shots if required.
Were these in-camera jpegs with NR, or?

Great shot's always difficult to compare, because of not yet firmware version 1.0 but stil as a trial-version.

I had the chance on wednesday to try the 645D. Took some shots at iso-1000 didn't change this.

thanks fs999 and RonHendriks1966 for the shots.
interesting results, although, I also think, why 6400 and 25000 were skipped.

thanks to both fs999 and RonHendriks1966 also for sharing the shots.

Wow, high iso shots will become the norm with these cameras.

IS 800 looks really clean, hard to judge the sharpness as the photo
is clearly blurry... What shutter speed was it?

Usable for family prints. This looks very promising!

Well if you find a seleb (like Paris Hilton) in an strange way down in a garage, you should take that shot because it's coming in newspapers all over the world.

damn thats pretty impressive for iso 51200 =) useable at the res shown here

say from looking at the iso 12800 that the iso 6400 should be entirely acceptable even for quite large prints - personally that sounds pretty good to me - at the moment with my k7 i rarely go above iso 800 if i can avoid it

I think that the in camera NR is doing most of the damage.
However, trying to imagine what it might look like in RAW, my hopes are pretty high.
I mean... it can't be much worst than the K20D ISO6400 right(no banding and magenta cast quite low)?

FTR. the D7000 started showing some serious magenta cast by ISO25600, so I think Pentax did something right with this sensor.

I didn't have a lot of time, a man of Pentax looked at me, because the doors of the SD slot were glued ! Only one opened...

I had only time to switch to DNG and made this raw at 51200 iso :
