Your poll is fatally flawed...

You forgot to include a "there are no exciting products from Pentax this year" option. :ugh:

In that case, the vote will be a few hundred for various exciting products and many thousands for "no exciting products", those who do not vote at all.

I agree - the "nothing" option would be helpful.

But the fate of the world does not hinge on this vote and it's time to move on to the next issue, right?

It's the only one I'm likely to buy, too. I hope it will help introduce a whole new tranche of newcomers to the pleasures of primes and lens-buying addiction.

I have voted for 645D because there is a bit of innovation ahead of anything else in the MF market, in many regards. It enriched photography experience much constricted by inert players. That camera alone may revive MF trend despite FF intrusion in that territory. 645D brings in choice, and choice is wonderful by itself.
K-5, on the other hand, is an evolution of the already available APS-C camera.
I only hope 2011 will be the year of Pentax lenses. 645D system needs them, and the overall position of the Pentax system which becomes appealing to many amateurs and advanced amateurs only means Pentax must open its glass hamper bag too :-)

Agreed. Finally, a 28-200mm equivalent to replace the FA 28-200mm. Hopefully much better and certainly lighter/smaller, and hopefully SDM problem free (even if the Pentax Japan website calls it DC SDM).

Back to carrying a 28-200mm and 60mm equivalent......

- Really?
I'm working on the lottery win theory.
It *was* nice to get out yesterday and shoot 645 (on film).
I'd love to get better quality than APS-C can currently provide.

The 35/2.4.

Or the promise of it: An affordable prime that is supposed to be sharp to the corners? *That's* the Pentax the name was always about.

Course, I wouldn't be put out if I had a K-5, either.

The 645 is the biggest for me. Do I plan on buying it ever??? Hell no. But it does inch Pentax into the big boys game. I'm more excited about the K5, but overall the MF changes the game and makes Pentax a big player. Very few will buy it on this site, but if it's marketed right, Pentax can claim to have something up on C/N. Hope it does well here in the states.

2010 isn't over. I really think there will be a 55-300mm WR and a new flash this year.

Thank you
Russell

I hope you're right about the 55-300 WR coming this year, it's on my Christmas wish list

A new flash, with WR, also seems very logical, the 645D needs that too.
