The choices offered make me think the Pentax products are not really exciting this year...

It's not for me, but as a market-changer the 645D is my choice for biggest news. The 35FF players are now squeezed from the top as well as the bottom, and the MF players are scrambling too. Getting the 645D right is more important to Pentax than 35FF in the next year or more, to my mind, as their reputation there is still solid.

Agree. I'm really looking forward to getting a K-5, though.

Had to vote for the 645D even though I can't afford one.

I voted for the 645D, but the K-5 is the one I'll buy.

I agree wholeheartedly. If Pentax wants to offer me a 645D, I may consider using it...

Still got to be the K-x

The little multicoloured charmer really punched above its weight this year.

Exciting or significant?

While K5 will no doubt have greater sales, the 645D is more significant (IMO) in that it makes Pentax a major player again with pros--and that, I think, is exciting.

If Hoyantax can get into the habit of doing that for us on even years, and swap to impress us with the lenses on odd years, we'd really have something there.

Voted 645D as being the most exciting.

Like others, the K5 however is on the list (to 'replace' my K10D).

The 18-135

The one lens truly missing in the line up was a sealed more or less all-round zoomlens. Most exctinig thing abut it, I have been sayng this since the K10D was introduced, so I guess Penatx finally listened to me....
