Any idea of the market price?

I like the K-r even more than I like the K-5 so far. I'd buy that one if I could afford to go that high. The K-5 is a bit pricey for me. I'll still probably end up with a K-x for starters, but eventually I'd like to have the K-r, I think.

I think the K-5 was a logical step or evolution from the K-7. Nothing special, only general improvements and huge improvements in the high iso area.

However, I think that the 645D is a much more unconventional camera, from the point of semi-pro-dslrs-shooters as well as from the pov of professional medium-format users.

I voted for the K5, but the most exciting thing for me is 3 solid cameras offered this year and 2 interesting lenses. For perhaps the lowliest offering, the 35 F2.4 lens, if the optical qualities are good enough, it provides a way of getting capable primes into the hands of people at less expense, a good thing in my book if it grows the pentax base.

What do i like about the K5: Excellent AF apparently (not tested yet) and super low light (high iso) performance. And all the other things that go with the top of the line Pentax offering. (I lost interest in the D7000 real fast when i found out that they crippled the HDR, bracketing capabilities, multi-image capabilities on the body so that folks would have to upgrade to the D300/400 series.) Value for the money - go with Pentax this year for sure.

Not to mention a MF camera that almost half price of any other MF camera out there.

Hey, if i wanted fireworks, i'd go to a fourth of July celebration. If i want a solid camera at a good price, i'll go with Pentax.

The reason I voted the DAL 35mm is because that is the only one I will be buying but the 645D is the most exciting because of what it is capable of doing for the Pentax name and probably the K5 also for bringing in a stronger competitor to the other brands.

645D for all the reasons many have stated. But the K-5 and 18-135 WR seems very nice too. If initial user reports look good both will probably be in my bag early 2011.

Most exciting Pentax product announced in 2010: 645D. No question. Pentax has a way of seeing holes in the photographic marketplace and placing a great product smack dab in the middle of it. That's what the 645D does. The only unfortunate thing is that it seems to be priced too low, due to the slow international rollout due to demand. I'd love to see Pentax make more money, especially when it is from products too expensive for me to purchase at the current time.

Most exciting Pentax product in 2010: DA 70/2.4 Limited. Not new to the market, but new to me. The other DA Limited lenses were interesting before, but after using one I think the purchase of the others is inevitable. It is also the first lens I purchased that cost more than my camera, and this lens kept me in the Pentax ecosystem. Why other manufacturers think that 85mm on APS-C is close enough to 105mm-equivalent is beyond me.

I may only be mentioning that because of Mr. Bunnel mentioning that he keeps tabs on feedback... Pentax, keep doing what you've been doing and I'll be with you for the long haul.

Come to think of it, unless you own all of the top Pentax lenses, there's no reason for them to release new lenses as frequently as new bodies. Unless you buy into marketing. Which is why marketing exists. Nevermind.

I voted for the K5. Maybe I am silly, but to me the biggest difference between the 645D and the K5 is the size of the sensor. That is a big deal of course, but nothing particularly new or exciting. On the other hand, for the size of its sensor (and cost of course), the K5 seems to punch way above its weight class. That and I hopefully will be able to afford the K5 some day...

Without a doubt, my first choice is the 645D, 2nd is the K-5 and 3rd is the 100mm macro WR (but maybe this one was last year)

To me it is no-brainer, really. It is 645D. Both from technology and market points of view this is most exciting product of Pentax, not only in 2010, but actually (IMHO) in few last years.

To me the most exciting thing is that Pentax can now have the Sony sensor at the same time than Nikon, and not a year later.

I voted K-5. I like the concept of the 18-135WR, but I'm a little disappointed in the execution. I would've liked a distance scale and similar control ring layout as the 18-55 WR. I'm waiting on availability and test results to completely pass judgment. If produces better IQ and is more consistent through the zoom range than the typical Tamron/Sigma super-zooms then I'll probably forgive the design. It would be a useful weekend lens for family snapshots when I don't want to bring the whole kit and do a lot of lens swaps.
