True but even then more want a 400 than a long macro. Could just be a male thing and someone is finding it difficult to look a canon user in the face. (They just need to point to it existing?)

DA*400/4 will be very expensive, need DA*400/5.6 IMO with price not above $1000-1200 and with good resolution at f5.6-11.

I think the thing with roadmap vs. lenses is obvious, the people are not sure whether they should invest in the Pentax System....

When I would have such doubts, why should i buy a new developed 400/4 for 2-3k$ when i am not sure that it will be a good investement ?

The people want to see in which direction the way goes and would like to know that before investing a pile of money...

A longer lens like the 400/4

I checked boxes related to FF and AF mainly.

Added the roadmap choice also, not because I need to plan any more lenses but it will tell where Pentax is heading. More WR, D-FA etc.

Well, we had previously a road map with a DA*30/1,4, a rear converter and a "supertele" lens that so far have not surfaced. Putting faith in a pdf roadmap don't seems very smart...

I will reopen a thread this or next week, with all the changes which has been mentioned till then, so there will be (much)more choice.

I think almost 200 people is not bad, 500+ people would be awesome, but idont think that we can do that ^^

Up to now I have not been able to chose between the 300/4 and the 60-250/4 ... a 400/4 would make my decision easier since I would buy both since the difference is enough.

And, although I don't want to start the full frame discussion again, I'd like to have a FF camera because of shallower DOF.

I would like to see Pentax cut a deal with either Walmart or Target to stock at least the K-x. That's what I'd like.
