I want a full frame sensor PLEASE! I don't care about anything else; keep your HD video, keep your mirrorless body, keep your 51200 ISO, keep your goofy colors. I just want my wide angle lenses to function like wide angle lenses, not medium-wides.

Pentax 645D is your answer. It's bigger than FF

As a rule of thumb don't expect that your film lenses to be as good on 35mm digital as they were on film. It is true for Canon, Nikon and Leica, there is no reason for it not to be true if Pentax ever produce such a camera.

"Cheaper sale prices" would be my first choice.

Improved flash system with built-in radio control is very high on my list for a future camera. Thern again an add on radio control option for older cameras and flashes.

What I really want is a lens longer than the DA*300. My first choice is a DA*135-400 but anything would be better than nothing.

The AF tracking on my K-5 is better than anything thing Pentax has had before, but I am sure it could always be improved.

He said "I just want my wide angle lenses to function like wide angle lenses, not medium-wides." So how does the 645D work with the 24 million FF K mount lenses
out there ? How many here would pay $10,000 for a 645D body and $5,000 for the 25mm wide angle ? BTW if Pentax came out with a Pentax version of the Canon 5D MK2 I would buy it since 1080p HD video is only 2mp and would work great with my FF k-mount lenses.

This is all very interesting, but if Pentax should have any use of this poll, should we not also tell them then, how much "we" are prepared to pay for such a "dream camera"?

There are different levels to consider (entry-level, mid-level, high-end, semi-pro, pro). Which level are we adressing here? The successor to K5 or....?

PS.: For my own sake, I NEVER could understand how Pentax had the heart to sacrifice the cable release option on their entry-level models since K-m, but apart from myself I never hear much complaints about that. Anyway, I do not want to own a camera without that feature!

I'm a newbie on this forum. I definitely want a longer lens and some teleconverters, and would be prepared to pay the going rate for them. Peter

Get a K-mount 800mm F8 mirror lens with 2x TC for less than $200.
With optional 105mm hood:

I'm happy with Pentax, they suit me the best and going forward. I would personally want tethering/full-format/lens-roadmap (if that means the DA* 30mm)...

But Pentax can't survive on my part-time wage. That's why I put my vote on "open-source OS/Platform". If Pentax get this first it will win over the entire Linux/Geek-community when they get a new cameras. More people with Pentax is better than anything else. And all the geeky-mods people will put on Youtube will work well as ads for Pentax.

Chcę FF z jednego powodu. By mieć to samo, co mam w MZ-S: ta sama ogniskowa - ten sam kąt widzenia.

I havnt voted because most of the options dont interest me much.

I could give a rat's ass about EVERYTHING VIDEO and think that it lessens my camera somehow. Still cameras take still photos. If video's so damn important, make a k-mount video camera and get it out of my SLRs please.
More AF options dont help any camera. If you can't shoot it with center spot focus on AF-S, why bother? Dont track a subject, anticipate where and when it's going to be most photogenic and shoot that.
I must admit, a true Full Frame sensor does interest me, mostly because i covet my Super Multi Coated Takumars and M-series primes. It's going to be way out of my normal price range though, and my K7 and K10D do just about everything i need them to right now.
Regarding flash sync, please invest in an electronic first curtain so we can have 1/500th for once. It's about the only way my digitals are inferior to my PZ-1.
Faster FPS and bigger buffer dont interest me, and they shouldnt interest the vast majority of people beyond what the K5 can offer. How many photos do you need to take to get *one* good shot? Pentax is not CaNikon, they make fast cameras. Pentax makes good cameras and AMAZING GLASS.

Which leads me to my wish from Pentax,

Revive the FA series, both in 35mm and 645. Maybe not entirely, as there will be much overlap, but i and many others would saw off our pinky toes with a rusty saw to have a chance to purchace NEW near perfect glass like the 85mm f1.4 and 28-70mm f2.8. Seriously, with a rusty saw. I would tell my boss to just make my pay out to Pentax Canada, because thats where it woud all go.
In a perfect world, it'd be the 20mm f2.8, 50mm f1.7 (that's right), 85mm f1.4, 135mm f2.8, 28-70 f2.8, and 70-200 f2.8, and any others that dont directly replace a DA.

pretty please? with sugar on top?
