Where oh where is my K-5?

I'm sure they have to stay faithful to their big bosses to ship them off at an agreed date. Look forward to seeing all the posts come through when they finally arrive and you all have had a good test drive.

Amazon says I'll be receiving them Tuesday even though they're in stock today for some reason they can't ship them out today. I did get them to waivge the overnight shipping fee (although with prime it was only $4 each).

Needless to say...I am very jealous of everyone that is getting a k5. All my photo money is going to an Oly lens I promised to buy my wife.

A bit of a sidetrack...
Sad story about Olympus...the E-5 sounds like the final update of their dSLR range, and its just a "warmed up dinner".
I know a few Olympus-user friends who are watching the K-5 very closely.

Unfortunately they are demanding Zoom lens users, and Pentax's zoom lens lineup doesn't look interesting to them..

On the other hand .... if Clinton does not post something VERY SOON about his new K-5, the one that he was getting in 2.5 hours from 19.5 hours ago, the one he's been whinging about for a full week, then we can hate him heartily!

I'd be so busy playing with my new toy I wouldn't care.

How long does it take for the K-7/K-5 chargers to fully charge the battery? I assume they're the same...

Someone on DPR just posted "Pg.50 of the manual says maximum charging time is 390mins!!" (his double exclamation marks)

Same as the K-7, so yeah... it's a long charging time.

On the other hand, the K-7/K-5 have stupendous battery life compared to my D700, whose batteries charge really fast and drain only slightly slower. :P
