+1 Denis, I am thinking the same... K-5 is catching the wave in the Asia although most people in NA don't really see that. It will take time though for people to catch on. The down side for us waiting for the lower price point to get in may have to wait a long time.
========================

Nikon D7000 (BODY) jumped from the low 20's ranking to #6 in LESS THAN SEVEN DAYS!

The K-5 (BODY) went down to #25, and the K-5 18~55WR kit went up a few spots to #38.

FYI: ????????????????BCN?????????

Lower rank last week

Now the 18-55 kit is #42 and the body #49. And the K-r is fully absent - delivery problems in Japan?

That's what I thought. For the record: there are delivery problems EVERYWHERE in the world. This could mean that production isn't on full steam yet, or Pentax's expected K-5 sales figures were way too low. I guess and hope it's the latter.

Pentax clearly missed the boat on the K5 pricing. By the time it corrects this, Nikon and Canon will have eaten their lunch.
Nikon & Canon will all the time sell more than Pentax. Pricing would have not change this

and now there are rumors of a mirrorless Pentax which would even gobble up much more production resources...

IF Pentax could pull that out of the bag before Nikon or Canon do (next six months?), it would be a huge win for them.
