$200USD rebate on K-5 starting November 4?

Has anyone else heard about the rumour of a Christmas rebate on the K-5?

Looks like about $200 USD.

Discussed here: https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-discussion/118897-still-no-k-...ml#post1228959

This would be nice. Just hope Pentax could keep up with demand!!!

Can anyone confirm?

It'll get the K-5 down to the street price

So in France will they ship any K-5's before November 4 with the rebates, or are they able to offer the rebate early because they know they will not ship until after this date (or even delay shipping until this date?)

Is this a global rebate/cashback, offered by Pentax? Can anyone confirm the official stance?

Pentax realized the MSRP was too high? $200 is a step in the right direction, although I wish it was a instant rebate rather than the mail-in/gift card variety.

Any chance of getting the same $200 off a K7?

Would be nice too if these rebates were offered outside Europe and the Americas...

I dontknow anything for certain, but i thing it will be connected to the amount of money you spend eg. 1000Euro/Dollar = 100Euro/Dollar cashback or 1500Euro = 150 Cashback

so i think when you buy a K7 (when they chasback applies) you dont get that much of a cashback.

The cash back in France will be base on buying a body or a Kit lense and seem to be only for K-R or K-5

If that's the case then here we go, lets get that credit card warmed up !

This is the kind of price I was hoping for before I purchased ! Still about $100 to high IMHO, but we will see :- )

I bet the Cashback is for more then one month, maybe you get a "normal" price drop and the cashback shortly before x-mas

Hi can you tell me more about this?

Where can I find official information?

May I buy in France ship to Belgium and take advantage of the rebate?

K-5 + 18-135mm WR - rebate = + instant purchase + debt

I think that equation balances ...
