Asian movie superstar Chow Yun-Fat chooses Pentax 645D

Asian movie superstar Chow Yu-Fat, (Imdb: Yun-Fat Chow - Biography) mostly knowned for his performances in the West in the 2000 movie "Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon" has recently acquired the Pentax 645D and was seen taking sunset pictures in Hong Kong on November 11th. 2010 near the Chek Lap Kok airport.

As reported in the local Apple Daily newspaper, Chow, a dedicated hobbyist photographer is "over the moon" on his latest acquisition and even misses the opening ceremony in Beijing for his latest movie. He simply cannot wait

Wohoo, I hope Pentax will get more endorsement from the celebrities from the far east. Asia and Asia Pacific is the marketing segment that Pentax should be concentrating on - not NA.

what does he have on the lens? is that a shifting device of some sort?

Yeah, it's a Cokin/Lee-style ND filter, I'm sure.

I bet it's a Cokin P setup since it is for filter sizes up to 82mm.

That's great to hear. He's a very cool dude. He'd do great business for Pentax if they got him to do some ads in China/ HK/ Taiwan etc.

I have read somewhere, that he has been a Pentax medium format user seen 90s, got a wide range of MF lens.
