Forgive me if this is already posted, but on depreview, there is a French test that compares how many times and at which distances these cameras can focus on a car traveling at 50 km/hr coming straight at the camera.

(i tried to post the link but it looks like Pentax Forums is blocking Dpreview links - is that correct?)
Minor differences with the K5 vs D7000 vs 60D, with the k5 holding the prize for closest focus at 10 meters, and also of note, the K5 with 14 in focus and 1 OK, is more than twice the number of K7 with 7 in focus.
A lot of posts on this forum have suggested that Nikon would still be better for predictive tracking. Well i've got to say that this test doesn't identify a Nikon advantage. Obviously, there are other kinds of situations that could be checked to determine a Nikon or Canon advantage. Nevertheless, the doubling of the K5 AF performance over the K7 obviously demonstrates how far Pentax has come in the latest model year.
Congratulations Pentax, more AF than i hoped for with the K5, shocking even
