Ned does sort of hint there are more DA Limiteds in the pipeline. Let's hope for a 24-28mm one...
we will never see it ... we have a DA 21 Limited

what I am hoping for is a small 135mm (f2.4 would be nice but I dare to dream of a f2 ) Limited
now THAT lens would be godsend!

There's 5 mm between the 15 and the 21 so a 28mm so called limited is not too difficult to imagine, especially with the gap between 21 and 40....
the 40mm being a pancake limted and the 35 a macro limited....

Still I think Pentax should for a while quit this not really limited series and make a few fast sealed primes first....

Oh and stop calling the "pancake" series "limited", it is an insult to the 31, the 43 and the 77. only the 35/2.8 macro comes a bit closer...

I STRONGLY disagree
the DA 15 Ltd, DA 40 Ltd and DA 70 Ltd deserve their "Limited" tag

The DAs do deserve their "Limited" tag but the FAs are "Ne Plus Ultra Limiteds!" Different animals altogether, the NPUs are LBA stoppers once you have the set, at least in that focal range, 30-90 with one exception.

Non Plus Ultra Limiteds
don't you mean "ne plus ultra?" (Latin: go no further)

FA135 limited would be nice, but 135 is a tad too long on crop. well you know what i mean.

I'd agree with you if there was an FF Pentax body to really take advantage of their very deliberate and distinctive focal lengths. as it stands now, on APS-C, their size, weight, focal lengths and above all, price simply don't make sense.

I would like to see one of these too. 2.8 would be too slow and probably wouldn't be able to exist next to the 50-135/2.8 unless you were to price it at like 500 or less.

Price would probably be in the 1200 range though.

It really means "nothing beyond" and "non plus ultra" is a valid variant.

Well I talked to someone from Pentax BeNeLux and they say that the upcoming lens for the 645D is a 28mm lens. As the rumor was at PhotoKina. So no idea if this is true or the 25mm that Ned is referring to.

I would be surprized if it was only for the current sensor. It should be at least have a circle for the bigger 50 megapixel sensor from Kodak (KAF50100) that fits in the same base as the current used 40 megapixel sensor.

Seems to be, here is a picture of it:

Looking at the build in filter holder the viewing angle of this lens is probably very wide!

I kind of disagree, there. It can actually be *very* useful if you're generally a prime lens shooter: It'd be a luxury when there's all those nice old 135s out there, (Would it really need to be a Limited, apart from that, anyway? I do suspect the appeal would coincide mostly with the Limited market, anyway,) but look at what people can do with those little old 3.5 Taks. Something compact, a little long, and very sharp that you can tuck in a bag is a niceness.

Right now I've got a "Takumar" (the bayonet) that I like a lot, despite it being an M-lens and a little peculiar cause it's basically single-coated. (In my case, I wanted to play with that and this was pretty cheap) The general form and function of this is actually a pretty good one. I wouldn't write it off.
