Cash back in Belgium ! (and Benelux?)

Just thought you'd wanna know, since many members expressed their discontent that there was no cash back.
Since at least a week, there's a cash back in Belgium (and maybe whole Benelux).

If I remember well: 100euros on body and 150 on body+lens.
This, I believe is for both K-R and K-5.

Good question, never bought online but on shops from other countries.
When I can I go to my brick and mortar reseller. YMMV.

I tried Pixmania which was OK.
Studio73 is very well known.
Tekade is german but very good reputation.

way too expensive. So far the best price of the kit I am looking for comes from Pixmania:

Pentax k-r + 18-55mm = 622EUR

Great news, but strange cash-back ; to few information, it's not easy to understand how it goes

Do you have a direct price reduction ?
Or do you get later a reimbursement ?

Well, not really... perhaps... I bought my K-5 last friday and I got the cashback immediately. It took some time investigating the information on the Pentax site before this however. The salesman and I agreed that it isn't the clearest...

Basically:
- The procedure requires you to sign a statement declaring that you received the discount on your bill. The form states:

Ik bevestig hierbij de cashback op factuur te hebben ontvangen.
Je confirme par la présente avoir obtenu le remboursement sur facture.

- The form doesn't ask for any financial information of the customer to reimburse the money.

Anyway, we concluded that the store would give me the 120 EUR discount and keep the form we filled in with my signature and the barcode cut out of my box. The store would then use this form to get their money back...

Perhaps this isn't the way it was supposed to be done, but the store didn't get any briefing on the procedure. And since I got my discount, I'm not complaining...

Do you have good adress in Belgium, with low price ?

The prices here are at the top of Europe, and some reseller don't play the game (the publish the low price on their website, with no mention that the "cashback" or "reimbursement" is yet deducted from the announced price and they refuse to give the cashback : very strange way to get new customers!).

Nope, I've almost given up on them. Their support for (and knowledge of) Pentax has been dwindling too much for my liking, and now they don't even list the K-5 yet, with the K-7 still there as if it's the latest model... Only use them now to collect the picture books that I print with the on-line service they resell.

Got mine at MediaMarkt Antwerp. I know, not the most trust inspiring of stores, but I know one of the guys in the photography department is a good guy who's open to the "other" brands. I buy with them because of him...

PS: taking a break from the Belgian Forum, matter of people (not you) getting too much on my nerves (Pentax fans on top of that! imagine...). Don't know when (or if) I will be back there... I deleted all shortcuts...
