Tamron Still Loves Us!

Wow. I have the 500mm f 4.5 lens for Pentax mount. Maybe it will hold it's resale value now? I bought the next to last one on Amazon a few months ago. And let me tell you it is as sharp as any lens i have ever used. Just outstanding IQ. If they ever get the mess with the sensor stain out of the way with the k-5. It will be my next purchase.

That is hard to believe. Pentax has just hit rock bottom for any serious sports and wildlife shooting. Such a wonderful designed camera. Hoya just ran it into the ground. I have my doubts it will ever come back to life now. I personally don't see it going out of business. But, never in my life time to compete again.... . But then again i am old as shit.....

No, Tamron loves money.
As long as it is profitable to sell Pentax mount lenses they will continue to offer them.

I'll believe they still love us when they put out the 180mm Macro in pentax mount.

Hmm, I don't know. I just read that Tamron is relasing an update of their "travelzoom" supposedly with fewer lens elements and improved performance:

Tamron 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD with Piezo Drive AF: Digital Photography Review

It will be available in Canon/Nikon with VR and a Sony version without VR - but there is no mention of a Pentax mount...
