Pentax EVIL NC-1 has smaller sensor than APS-C - your opinion?

Pentax put their heart's to it. I believe it will be a good camera. Also the picture they got is the release information from the retailers. =) Just a few more hours.

It has a green button! Implies that at least at attempt at serious manual controls.

Now, I wonder how it would look under a Metz 58 AF? Rather tippy?

It's hard to get excited about a 49mm f/11 equivalent prime let alone an even slower zoom. I hope I'm wrong but it looks to be style over substance.

This camera serve a very different market than most of us. They need to expand their market reach or the # of potential buyer

Thoughts? Personally I dont think interchangeable lenses and small sensors mix they are a different demographic.
Larger sensor appeals to those that care about image quality and they also don't mind changing lenses.
Those that want small and pretty wont want the hassle of changing lenses.
The only way this would succeed is if the sensor is absolutely revolutionary but even then it wont appeal to current pentax DSLR users or vintage glass fanatics due to the vast difference in conversion.
So looks like Pentax trying to carve a Niche, fingers crossed it works for them

Will get to hold this on the weekend so hopefully the ergonomics work in its favour, I like the dials and the custom settings. The Bokeh filter looks interesting and that flash pop up is insane!
I really think that the two leaders in this field are Olympus (1st to market) and Fuji, (appeals to current DSLR owners).

Sorry folks, there used to be a photo here. Someone at Pentax or their agency obviously made a mistake and posted pages to their production server instead of their testing server. I happened to view the pages and capture screens before they pulled the pages down, but upon further reflection I've taken them off of my Flickr account.

It's only a camera, after all. We can all wait another day or more for Pentax to release it when they had planned...

Soooo the big question is. Once there is a k-mount adapter, what is the equivalent focal length when I put on my sigma 600mm mirror lens?! Hope it has some good image stabilization, haha.
