now pair that with some silver FAs and a silver A 50.12
they should be brave and just make all new models like this ... to distinguish themselves

It doesn't look like it uses the same focusing screen as the silver K-7, so assuming these pictures are real, it's probably not going to have the special features of the silver K-7. Probably less chance of it being a limited edition too.

Assuming this is not a hoax or photoshop job, the shape of the handgrip in the photograph is different from that of a normal K-5.

No way: silver's nice for some, but making them all silver would be just conceding the serious photography market right there, if you asked me. A lot of people just aren't into flashy, and silver-on-plastic rarely seems to do anything but look cheap.

When there was actual chrome in those finishes that made em last pretty much forever, there was some arguable practicality to them, but I don't think just for looks that's much of a thing to try to get everybody to want.

Silver Pentax cameras do look terrific. I have collected a few older black film bodies since they were rare, but the regular silver ones look so much better. Ironic now that the Silvers are rare.
