If they are going to do something like that, they should at least give it some character. Maybe there, it Is character..

Not that I don't prefer restraint and class and subtlety, especially when I'm trying to do photography, but that's not to say that the part of me that'd put some GI Joe clothes on Barbie didn't cheer to see that.

Life can be rough in Barbie world, let me tell ya. Sometimes you need to throw on the ol' fatigue jackets *and* call in Lt. Uhura.

Now there is something I never expected to hear someone say today.

Of course, I didn't expect to see that camera either, so maybe I'm out of touch.

When I saw a thread titled "Sadness" I wondered if a famous photographer died. Then I saw that camera and learned that good taste just died

These special edition cameras may be a good thing even though I'll never buy one. Extra sales for Pentax can bring in more profit and hopefully a larger R&D budget. They had better keep making black, though!

I'll take one. And those bozos over at Gizmodo might laugh at me, but I'll be happily shooting away with a camera that I know will get the job done.

That's just one of the many perils we face in these times. Giddyap, My Little Pony, I think the Doctor's got Dalek problems again!

I don't get why everyone's so concerned with how a camera looks versus how it functions? It's like people obsessed over their cars look versus does it run well, do what you want, etc? Sure we have to look at it, but when we are using it we look into it most of the time and don't see the body so much....especially true with a car.

That being said...I'll stick to my black body thanks. LOL

Possible target market?
In Google Images enter "harajuku style" and hit search.
Enjoy...

did they forget that the flash needs working on?
That camera is so bright that it does not need a flash.

It certainly does not appeal to me but I can imagine that it would appeal to some teens in Japan. And I hope they keep it there.

Just mark it "Not for Export". Please!!!!

it would be a pretty bad move...but there in japan they love those ugly, flashy things...
i like some ugly things too but that...that is TOO MUCH! it's like the pinacle of ugliness!without any type of taste!
Would'nt mind if someone gave it to me, but would NEVER BUY one.

PostData: if someone in pentax wants to commit suicide, errrr ejem, export it i don't mind being part of guerilla publicity, just give me one and i'll roam around taking shots even if it means being looked at with disgust or open mockery!
