thanks...read through most of it. a couple errors (and a typo or two), such as k-x not supporting sdxc (it does now with the newest firmware right?) and I thought I read that the k-r sensor is different than the k-x's even though they are both 12.4 MP. Anyway, pretty detailed review.

what ??!! no focus issues ??!!!!! how can this be... jeff's review seems to be rather detailed/in depth... should we contact/ask him regarding this well documented issue?
also, i didn't see him needing to do any calibration(s).... seems like he just unpacked the camera and away he went with his testing..........

There actually is no report on any review regarding Tungsten FF. And it's not like none of them is not testing Auto WB in Tungsten.

Maybe they were using small apertures, or the issue was not well known enough during the tests.

Maybe DPR and IR has something to say about it. If their K-r reviews come out.

The 12Mp sensor in the K-r is not the same 12Mp as the K-x.
Main difference is that the 12Mp sensor in the K-r focuses much faster - yes the K-r has clearly faster contrast detect AF in live-viw than the K-x. And it is the imaging sensor that does the focusing.

In terms of IQ, it is questionable if there is any difference.
But in AF, there is a clear difference.

The software algorithms and hardware after the sensor do the focusing, not the imaging sensor. That is simply the input.

The difference in sensor is probably just for faster read-out times for continuous shooting.
