Read Yvonne's post, it's a 3rd party product (he is the 3rd party) and it was initially designed with the k5/7 in mind as that is what he owns
I'm guessing some kind of armour

I'll bet it's a plate that comes between the camera and grip with 1/4-20 threads allowing mounting of the camera in new and different ways. Basically the 1/4-20 tripod socket is not robust enough and if you manufacture a plate that goes in between the grip and camera you can do some amazing things.

Something like that would satisfy all the conditions of the team at Aletta and not require optics or electronics. The plasma cutter/CNC and motorcycle folks all come together to make this happen. It's also easy to roll out to other manufacturers.

That gave me a ridiculous idea.
Since I've read some crazy and ridiculous ideas...here's my contribution.
How about a plate that mounts two cameras one over/under the other with a quickfire mechanism that fires both at once, in order to make 3D pictures or video?

OK - I can't take it any more.

Suggestion: a grip that screws into the camera and allows the photographer to use live view for stills and video. I know that there is no lack of such grips but Yvon may have a unique idea of how the grip is held or fastens to the arm/shoulder/tentacle. To be specific to a camera, e.g., K-5, it would include a trigger or some other control arrangement.

Or perhaps camera-specific, extra-weather-resistant armor with stickers of Dora the Explorer and Boots.

Or Hello Kitty with wet fur. Or is it wet hair? Fur versus hair ... I don't want to start that debate again. Rule of life: never rile up a pet owner.

I bet its some sort of "L" bracket like kirk or really right stuff makes.... if not that than something else machined to fit the body. I doubt its anything dealing w/ batteries, storage etc. It could maybe be something like a set of bellows or the like but again I doubt it involves anything past a physical part

Tilt/shift/extending bellows with tripod L bracket mount and coffee cup holder?
Maybe a Jig to transfer camera shutter button control to the left side of the camera for lefties?
Well depending on its price it probably won't be on my list for awhile yet anyways.

It surprises me that this topic is still alive. Apparently many Pentaxians want something new, no matter how trivial.

Indeed. The lack of most basic respect to a fellow human who suffered a lost and the most basic tact on this thread is remarkable and appalling...

Lurching off on a tangent:

If Pentax is the first party, and Yvon is the third party, who is the second party?

I know that this sounds like the beginning of a Marx brothers routine with reference to a sanity clause , but it's more-than-halfway serious question. It probably belongs in another forum on another site but here we are .....
