I've learned to love good ales, particularly IPAs and stouts but I'm not enough of an Anglophile for Bovril.

Heading north from England, my choice would be Balvenie Doublewood.

Time to plan another UK holiday .....

For ales, Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout is my favorite, but New Belgium Abbey is pretty good too, and a lot cheaper.

Oooo. A piece of plastic that keeps your camera from tipping over when it has a long lens on it. And it has a bubble level. This was definitely worth a 22 page thread.

It's made of aluminum. But yeah, not something I'd pay $150 for.

Hey, we set ourselves up for this one! Nice idea, I will make one on my bandsaw out of mahogany.

But look back at the thread. Someone has a bunch of product ideas to pull from now and we gave them away! LOL!

Well, it was geeky anyway!

The Prisoner is my favourite TV programme. (And that from someone who has never bought a TV and is more than happy to live without.)

Stop! Stop! The torture!

Love Lagavulin. Also Talisker. Cannot afford anything like them.

Looks more universal than a K-5/K-7 fit, doesnt look like it matchs the body or grip.

OK, I'll bite... 6 oz. Most of the weight of the lens is supported by the cantilever of the support.

I wonder what a nice f2.8 400mm would do with this?

Cute! The site says 12oz and that it's not model-specific. At $150 I'm not sure it displaces my Gorillapod.

Must say that Yvon 's "Gizmo" does look very nicely made, very high quality and the hand strap costs $30 anyway by iteself. Quite useful too if you have long lenses

but.
The guy I did my beginner SLR course with has been making those for years. (without hand strap)

A little simpler in design (just rectangular) and made from a thick piece of clear polycarbonate with 4 corner jacking screws and a tripod mount point.

It can than mount the camera directly or screw on a ball head tripod mount.

I can't remember exactly, but he only wanted about $30 for them? It only weighed maybe about 150-200grams.
Not sure if it would support a 70-200 2.8 but I think he showed it to us with a 5D and a 24-105 lens mounted.
